Lutheran High is a co-educational day school providing classes from grades seven through twelve. Students applying should know the importance of an education and be willing to give their best efforts in both academic and extracurricular areas of student life. Early application is advisable. It is recommended that you contact the high school office in the fall preceding the year you desire to enter to obtain the materials for the application process. Although admissions decisions are made throughout the year, openings may be filled by early summer, in which case later applicants may be placed on a waiting list.
In considering applications for admissions, an Admissions Committee looks for: (1) the commitment to a Christian education; (2) scholastic aptitude; (3) academic achievement; (4) positive recommendations.
Essential elements for the admissions process are the student's transcript, teacher recommendations, and test scores. Students applying for grades nine through eleven take the Scholastic Schools Admissions Test (SSAT school code 4730). Students in grade twelve take the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) or Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT). An application fee, non-refundable tuition deposit (upon acceptance), a registration-yearbook fee, and a comprehensive fee are required.
