Lutheran High School of Hawaii offers a comprehensive art curriculum that begins with Basic Art, which serves as an introduction to common media and art vocabulary, and continues through three full-year electives. An alternate fourth year course of AP Studio Art may be offered to selected students. Basic Art is a graduation requirement. Other courses offered are: Drawing & Painting, 2-D Design, and Studio Art. All elective courses are designed in a laboratory format with weekly sketchbook submissions used to augment in-class produced artwork. Approximately 22% of all LHS graduates have been accepted into a variety of art schools including:
